Video Transcript

So here’s another daily do from your local dermatologist!

So let’s talk about eczema or dry, irritated skin that doesn’t heal. Now we have longer videos that talk about eczema and talk about how you’re supposed to bathe and what you’re supposed to use to help prevent it but let’s push all that aside for now. Let’s talk about a spot, a solitary spot, of dry skin or eczema. Whether that’s been diagnosed by you or a dermatologist that will not go away. So I have a question for you. If you have a spot of dry skin here and you’re putting lotion on it ten times a day and three weeks later it still looks and is acting the same. Is it dry skin? You got it. Nope. You have to have it looked at. Just yesterday I had a patient who came in who had a spot of dry skin on her ankle that had been present for ten years in the same spot. No matter what she did to it, it would not go away. Well, I don’t want you waiting ten years on these things. I want you to treat dry skin for maybe four weeks and if it doesn’t go away, please have it looked at because chances are that it’s not dry skin. If it were dry skin the lotions and the proper skin care regimen would have taken care of it, but that’s where we’re here to help. Come in and say hey Doc this spot of dry skin, I’ve been moisturizing the heck out of it and it hasn’t changed, what else do you think it might be?

Because Dermatologists treat more than just skin cancer!
