So here’s another daily tip from your friendly local dermatologist!

The majority of Americans are not consuming enough omega-3 fatty acids, and these are the fatty acids that really help keep the inflammatory burden of our body low and help everything function properly. We have to have these and most of our diets are more geared towards the Omega nines which are more inflammatory. So things like salmon are wonderful products to consume once or twice a week. Now please make sure you know where your salmon is coming from because wild caught is better than farmed and please make sure that you’re conscious of the mercury that you’re consuming when you have fish. Now salmon tends to be one of the better “mercury-low” fishes that you can consume, but salmon is gonna provide you with all sorts of good fats and you need fats. Your skin needs fats. Your brain needs fats, every part of your body needs fats and this old trend of don’t have any fat and just have a ton of carbs, well, I think we all know that that one’s kind of out. Everything in moderation, but please look at your food source, make sure it’s right for you and then enjoy.
