So here’s another daily tip from your friendly local dermatologist!

I remember sitting in Iraq, and we were about to come home to America and everybody was talking about hey, what’s your first meal that you’re gonna eat when you get back and everybody was saying steak or lobster or you know, whatever and mine, mine was a spinach salad. I don’t know what it was, but I craved it, and if I don’t have spinach at least once a week my body starts to crave spinach. So it got me thinking, what is it in spinach that I crave so much because it’s not like having steak and lobster right, but something internally makes me want it. Now spinach has all sorts of vitamins from the B’s and the C’s and the E’s and it has all sorts of antioxidants and man spinach is just fiber packed and nutrient packed and mineral packed and spinach is one of those things that I know I need to consume. It helps my skin too, I notice that if I don’t have spinach at least once a week, I don’t have the skin and the complexion that I want. My skin is more red it’s more irritable. It’s really interesting and I can’t tell you what it does for me, but I’m pretty sure that it’s fairly reasonable advice that you should be having spinach at least once a week. now if you’re on Warfarin or Coumadin or on some specific medications where spinach might change the levels, please talk to your primary care doctor before you start eating lots of spinach. But, throw it into your diet and please put the good salad oils on. Don’t put the junk that is overly processed. That’s found in the grocery stores on. Guys, we’re trying to lower our inflammatory burden, and if you just pour a bunch of bad oils and bad products on then you’re just taking away all the health benefits. With all these dietary recommendations that I’m making please keep a food journal. Please see what that does to your skin and then follow what helps you with your overall health.
