This is something I came across the other day and in the high octane type work environment we have it is common for us to answer without understanding. It is common to shift blame, not necessarily on purpose but in the heat of the moment. We talk about assuming good intent.  So for your consideration today…

Practice the pause.

Pause before assuming.

Pause before accusing.

Pause whenever you are about to react harshly and you’ll avoid doing ad saying things you will regret later.
