So here’s another “Daily Do” from your friendly local dermatologist.
So the question is, does skin cancer hurt? And the answer is not usually. However, if you start having symptoms on an area that you’ve never had symptoms before, you need to be seen by your local dermatologist to determine what’s going on. Now, even though I don’t think that most skin cancers hurt, I have had a couple of people in my ears come in and they say, “Hey, this mole, I’ve never felt it before and now it is, and has slight tingling, or has slight pain or tenderness associated with it.”
And I always biopsy those, and as far as I can remember all of them have come back concerning. So if any lesions on your body start to have different symptoms than they did before, please have them seen by your local dermatologist.
