Rodin's The Thinker

Finding a better way (to do everything)!

Yesterday I had 3 different employees come to me with suggestions on how to make things better. They are working on their proposals and you will see new ideas and collaborations happening in the next couple of weeks. I LOVE THIS for a number of reasons:

1) It is proactive. There is something that could be made better and people took the time to give thought to a solution. People took ownership over a situation. They changed their mindset to something that will solve problems instead of just complaining or passing judgment. They empowered themselves and understand “that if you do not consider yourself part of the problem you will never consider yourself part of the solution.” Good on you!

2) It shows that they are NOT on autopilot. They are thinking. Remember, “I think, therefor I AM.”

3) They care enough about the organization to make it better instead of complaining that something is not perfect.

There is a reason that a picture of Rodin’s “The Thinking Man” statue is on all of our computers. It is to inspire and encourage you to think and to come up with better ways of doing EVERYTHING. I can’t wait to hear your ideas next week!

Thank you.
