Colorado Springs Dermatologist Dr. Reagan Anderson

Video Transcript

All right, so here’s another daily do from your friendly local dermatologist!

I am often asked by patients who leave my city and go to another state or far away is like doc, hate leaving ya, but I gotta go to someplace in Texas. Do you know of a good dermatologist there? And while I do know of a lot of people in this country, I don’t know everybody everywhere and so how do you find a new provider and this is what I suggest. If you’re comfortable with the provider you have right now then look at their website. Figure out how they talk to you on the phone. Figure out the things that you can easily identify without having to go to another clinic and see if they replicate those things. So for instance you go to my website coderm.com, there’s a lot of education. I try to make it so that no matter what age is coming that the information is easy to find, easy to read, understandable and that I respect you by giving you education because you’re an intelligent person and so if you’re trying to find somebody like me then look for websites like me. If you like a website to be just bare-bones, bare information, tell me what I need to get to the office and the providers take it from there, then look for that when you are going to your next clinic but here’s the important thing. I think, personally, if you’re not treated with respect, inform the practice about it because everybody has bad days, but if it isn’t corrected, move on. You have to be comfortable with us. So, when you’re looking for a new practice and you like where you were, look for similarities where you’re going and then give them a shot. If they fail, communicate with us. If they take it seriously and work to amend and correct then good on you and good on them but if they don’t, move on.

Because Dermatologists treat more than just skin cancer!
