“I once was lost, but now am found,
Amazing Grace
T’was blind but now I see.”
Sometimes the simple truths are the most powerful. And the simple truths in these passages include the celebration of awakening and self awareness, acceptance of the inherent frailty, but also strength, that is a marker of our humanity, and the realization that no matter our circumstances, we have the ability to get better than we used to be. And although we may have been lost or blinded by past choices or self limiting thoughts, we – sometimes with a little help if we’ll just ask for it – can cast off those limitations, and finally see all the potential that lies before us. And the good news is that YOU can do it!
