Starting the day right!

What do you expect when you wake up in the morning? Do you expect the day is going to be a pain in the ___? Or do you wake up and become excited about the people you get to help, the situations you get to overcome, the coworkers you get the privilege of working beside, …? Do you think how you “frame” your day by your thoughts will have a direct impact on how your day will go? 

Almost every morning I force myself to smile and think about how great the day is going to be. I do this for about 30 seconds and then I get out of bed. Try it. Force a smile and think about how amazing the day is going to be. Then get up, turn off your alarm clock, and get your day started. I promise you that these 30 seconds will set the stage for the rest of your day and you will notice a big difference on the days you do it compared to those you do not.
