Sunscreen Sprays

Video Transcript:

Here’s another daily tip from your local dermatologist.

Okay, so some people really like the spray-on sunscreens and my thought is they’re not the best, but if that’s the only thing I can get you to do, I’ll take it. So if you’re gonna use the spray-on sunscreens, here’s a couple of tips.

Number one, make sure you’re closing your eyes. Make sure you take a deep breath before you spray. Spray it on, take a couple steps away from the spray zone, blow out all of your air and gently massage it in with your hand. You don’t want to be inhaling that stuff. You don’t want to be spraying it in your eyes, and after you spray it on, you do kind of want to rub it in a little bit to try to make it as even as possible.

And remember you got to reapply your sunscreen at least every two hours, and it’s hard if you’re out and about and you’re sweating, and then do a spray-on, but again, if that’s all I can get you to use, I’ll take it.
