“A mistake that makes you humble is better than an achievement that makes you arrogant.”
In life it easy to see the good in the achievement and hard to see it in the mistake. Your mistakes are as much a part of growing as the achievement, but we often have a hard time recognizing the value our mistakes and missteps have on our lives. Your mistakes do not define you but they do help shape you. If you only share your achievements and choose to hide your mistakes, you do not get the value they hold. You also present yourself in a matter which shows you as infallible, and none of us are infallible! Don’t confuse arrogance with confidence, as typically people who are arrogant actually lack confidence, thus the need to show everyone how much better they are than everyone around them.
Being confident means you can take your lumps and learn from them. It also allows you to be able to learn from those around you.
