So here’s another daily tip from your friendly local dermatologist.
Ok, so how can you judge on a day to day basis of how strong the sun is going to be where you’re at? And there’s a thing called a UV Index. And if you get out your phone and hit the weather app, most of those will tell you what the index is going to be in your area. Now UV Index is a measure of how strong the sun is gonna be, and it takes into account a lot of different factors, from clouds and smog, and, and other things. And it gives you a number.
So if you’re down at one, you can probably spend a reasonable amount of time out in the sun. And if you go all the way to eleven, much like getting a spinal tap, that is very extreme. And if you don’t understand the spinal tap reference, do yourself a favor and click the link below, it’s classic. So if you’re at about a one, I still recommend you using your sunscreens and you know, seeking shade when possible. But if it’s going all the way to extreme sun exposure, just be super careful about how much sun you get on that day.
