How did you wake up this morning? I woke up tired and instead of doing my daily workout at 4am, I took it easy, had a relaxing morning, and got to work a little earlier than normal.
Fortunately, this decision to not exercise for one day is not going to have any consequences to my health. Not ever exercising again obviously will. The decisions of our life add up slowly, but deliberately, and takes us in certain directions. Rarely does one decision have permanent implications for our future. Eating one dessert every once in a while is fine. Eating a dessert with every meal = trouble. Missing one workout is fine and perhaps even healthy to take a break every once in a while. Never working out = problems.
The one area of life that I have found that does not apply to this rule is not listening to the still, calm voice within your own head. It will guide you IF you let it. Some call it our conscious, some our spirit, some God, some an angel whispering in your ear. Whatever you call it, listen to it. It will guide you and if you start ignoring this still, calm voice it will become easier and easier to keep ignoring it and this will lead you places your soul would never want to live.
