Here’s another daily tip from your local dermatologist.
Okay, so I’m going to tell you the secret of sunscreen, and here it is: You’ve got to use it for it to work!
So a lot of people just buy the bottle and they never use it. Guys, you’ve got to use it. You’re really supposed to put it on about 15 minutes before you go out in the sun, so that when you’re out in the hot sun and sweating, it doesn’t run down over you. Now we have a whole video on sunscreens and prevention, so please watch that, but here are the basic tips. You got to use it. It needs to be an SPF of 30 or above. You’ve got to reapply it every two hours, and my favorite ingredients are something that has zinc and/or titanium in it, because those are the physical blockers, and there’s no concern about chemical sunscreens causing problems, because the zinc is something that we need anyway.
So please use it, follow these tips, and don’t get sunburned.
